Mike Hill, Founder & Owner

Specialty Turf Supply was established in 2003 by Birmingham, Alabama native Mike Hill.

Mike graduated from Mississippi State University in 1996 with a degree in Marketing and Professional Golf Management.

After working in the golf industry for 7 years, he started STS with a focus on golf course maintenance and equipment sales. He expanded the business to support all sports field maintenance including colleges, high schools, and municipalities.

In recent years, STS has been involved in extensive sports field construction and sports field renovation projects of both natural and artificial turf fields.

STS employs more than 25 employees to support construction and turf maintenance across the Southeast.

Mike and his wife Ashley live in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, with their four children. They are active members of Hope Community Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
